How much does the home-stay programme cost?
The cost of the home-stay is approximately 200 Baht per pax per night. This covers meals and accomodation for a day and all other fun you will soon discover when you join us!

Facilities - You will spend the night in a bamboo house together with your host and his family. Basic toilet facilities (eg. Squatting toilet, tap water without heater) and thin mattresses and blankets are provided.
Activities - You can also enjoy an exciting and eventful night of cultural exchange. Immerse in the rich Lahu culture of song and dance around the blazing campfire. Feel free to put up your very own cultural performance to share with the villagers.

The standard Lahu meal includes rice, 1 meat or egg dish, 1 vegetable dish, some spicy condiments and hot local tea.
(Tips: The villagers enjoy their food salty and spicy, do inform your host early if you have any dietary preferences.)
What is the spoken language of the Lahu tribe? How can I communicate with them?
The common spoken language is Lahu, a form of Thai dialect. However, villagers are making efforts to learn simple english terms relevant to the home-stay experience. You will also be provided with a basic Lahu-English vocabulary list.

The journey begins from Fang Hotel where you will depart in a 4-wheel drive and have an adventurous time driving over bumpy mud roads. It will be the most exciting 1 hour ride of your life!
